CIDEREU: A New Movement for European Rural Revitalization
We are proud to announce the official launch of CIDEREU! Our journey officially began with an inspiring first online meeting on February 27, 2026. This date marks the start of a collaborative effort where 11 partners from 6 European countries have united to redefine the future of our rural communities.
CIDEREU is more than just a project about cider; it is a strategic movement to preserve our shared apple heritage and use it as a catalyst for sustainable growth. By following the principles of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) — beautiful, sustainable, together — we are addressing critical challenges like rural depopulation and environmental degradation.
Our consortium, led by Fundación Asturies XXI, brings together a diverse range of expertise:
