Educational workshops designed to connect students with their local heritage and encourage active participation in European rural policies

1 to 2 days per session
Objective:
To involve students in the culture, history, and values of apple cultivation while fostering their participation in the democratic life of the EU
Tailored Learning Experiences
Activities by Age Group
Primary Education (6–10 years)

Storytelling and interactive games to introduce apple culture in a fun and engaging way

Lower Secondary (11–14 years)
Hands-on experiments related to food and direct conversations with local farmers
Upper Secondary / Baccalaureate (15–18 years)

Debates on rural policies, the NEB initiative, gender equality, and role-playing simulations for decision-making

Hands-on Learning

Workshops will include practical activities such as

  • Apple Selection: Learning to identify different local varieties
  • Production Demos: Live demonstrations of juice and cider making.
  • Policy Debates: Discussions on how young people can ensure generational renewal in the agricultural sector
Milestones:
  • June 2027: Publication of the document with the educational plan and materials.
  • August 2027: Delivery of the complete workshop agenda
